Hey! Welcome to Hey Ichigo π
“Ichigo” (γγ‘γ) means strawberry in Japanese β and this site is run from an actual strawberry farm in Chiba, Japan. Between harvests, we write honest guides for people around the world who love Japan:
- Japanese snack boxes β which subscriptions are actually worth your money
- Streaming Japanese TV abroad β how to watch ABEMA, TVer, NHK and Netflix Japan from anywhere
- Learning Japanese β apps and resources that actually work
- Traveling Japan β rail passes, eSIMs, and itineraries without the tourist-trap fluff
How We Work (Honestly)
Full transparency about how this site is made:
- What’s real experience: living in Japan, farming strawberries, the snacks we’ve actually eaten, and the services we’ve actually used (like the NordVPN review β six years of real subscription). When it’s first-hand, we say so.
- What’s verified from Japan: screenshots, prices, lineups and service changes we check directly from here. Overseas blogs can’t do this; we can, and we label it.
- What’s research: specs, overseas pricing, and features we haven’t personally tested. We compile these from official sources and say clearly that it’s research, not experience.
If we haven’t eaten it, watched it, or used it β we tell you.
